What Omarchy is
Omarchy is a free Linux desktop. Version 4.5 is built around AI agents. The people behind it call it the operating system for the age of agents. It comes from the creator of Ruby on Rails, and it runs on Linux, a free operating system, in the same way Windows and Mac are operating systems.
Press Super and the grave key, the little key just under Escape, and Claude Code drops down over whatever you are doing. Hold Right Alt and you can talk to the agent instead of typing. One panel shows every agent you have running.
If you are on a Mac or a Windows computer, Try Omarchy runs the full desktop inside a window. Nothing on your normal system gets replaced. On a Mac you need an Apple Silicon Mac, and the Command key works as the Super key. Your microphone and camera work too, so push-to-talk and Monologue both work.
What a skill is
Straight out of the box, Omarchy gives your agents a place to work. A skill is the playbook that tells them what to do. It already holds the steps, the style, the rules, and what done looks like. You press one key, say “make this” or “post this”, and the agent runs the job from start to finish. Stack 10 of them and one desktop can run the content, the traffic, and the leads.
The 10 skills
1. Faceless long-form video
Say the topic out loud. One example from the video: make a video on the five best ways to use AI agents for a local business. The agent researches, writes the script, and waits for you to approve it. Then it builds the video with voice, motion design on every line, real examples, and a call to action in the right place. A full long video can come out of it, and nobody sits in front of a camera. Talking the topic in, instead of typing a short line, gives the agent more detail, and more detail makes a better video.
2. Mission control
Omarchy 4.5 already shows every running agent in one panel: what is running, what is finished, and what is waiting. You can switch between several Claude and Codex accounts from the desktop, and Codex can show your limits and when they reset. Mission control turns that into a system. It decides which jobs run at the same time, which run one after another, and which account each job should use. Before a big job starts, the agent checks your limits, picks an account, and gets going. Picture a blog post, a landing page, research, and an inbox all moving while you watch one panel.
3. The SEO system
The agent is connected to Google Search Console, Google’s free tool that shows what you rank for and what people click. It finds searches where you show up but get almost no clicks, and searches where you do not have a page yet. Then it writes those pages, publishes them, and asks Google to come and read them. In the video, the example site goes from 3,049 clicks in May to more than 20,000 in October, with 18,035 in September and a best day of 1,313. Once it is set up, the agent keeps finding gaps week after week.
4. Faceless shorts
This is skill 1, made for short vertical video. You hand over the research, an announcement, the docs, or the screenshots. The agent writes the script, adds the voice, adds motion design, and adds captions that light up word by word. When something new happens in your work, you can have a short about it the same day: one key, one sentence, then back to the real work.
5. The explainer editor
This one edits the videos you do record. You record once and hand the file to the agent. It cuts the pauses, adds motion, puts your face in where it helps, and then checks its own work for overlaps and messy spots. It checks the sound, and when it is done it gives you 10 thumbnail options and a description with chapters. You can watch it work in the panel while you keep going.
6. Client update videos
For anyone with clients, a team, or a boss. Press one key and ask the agent what got done. It writes three short talking points from the actual work: what finished, what is in progress, and what you need from the client. Then open Monologue, one of the apps that comes with Omarchy 4.5. Monologue records your camera with one key. You read the three points and you have a one minute update ready to send.
7. The always-on server
Take an old laptop you are not using and install Omarchy on it. Version 4.5 can copy your Claude and Codex logins from one machine to another over SSH. SSH is a secure way for one computer to connect to another, so you do not sign into everything again. Give that laptop the long jobs: research that takes hours, a batch of posts, a big video render. When you want to check, open Glyph on your main computer. Glyph comes with Omarchy and shows the other computer’s screen, so you can see it and control it from your own. The skill tells the agent how to queue the jobs, how to report back, and what to do if something gets stuck.
8. Posting with Blotato
When a video, a short, or an image is ready, the agent can post it through Blotato. Blotato sends posts to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more from one place. Each post can get a cover, the hashtags for that platform, a story, and a time to go out. You finish the content, say “post it”, and you do not open five apps.
9. Inbound leads
Tell people to comment a keyword, and they get a free guide. The agent builds the guide page and sets up the automation on Instagram and Facebook. When someone comments the keyword, they get a direct message with the link. Every long post can have its own guide and its own keyword, so each post can bring people in on its own.
10. The agent operating system
This is the skill that connects the rest. The agent OS is a dashboard that puts Claude, Codex, Hermes, and your other agents in one place. They share one memory, so they know the business, the offers, the clients, and the goals without another explanation. Omarchy gives them a fast place to work, one key away. The agent OS gives them a memory of the business. On a Mac you can run Try Omarchy in one window and the agent OS next to it. Videos sound like you, SEO pages talk about real offers, and client updates know real clients.
One desktop
All 10 run on one machine. The SEO system finds searches and builds the pages. The video skills make the long videos and the shorts. The explainer editor polishes the ones you record. Client updates keep people in the loop. The second computer handles the long jobs. Blotato posts. The lead skill brings people back. Mission control keeps each agent on the right account. The agent OS gives all of them one shared memory.
The old way is a pile of tabs, a separate app for each model, typing every prompt, recording and editing every video, opening five apps to post one video, and replying to comments one by one. The new way is one key, one spoken job, and one panel.
You do not have to switch your computer to Linux. Try Omarchy runs Omarchy inside a window, using a virtual machine: a computer running inside your computer. And you do not have to be technical. Press one key and talk. The skill already knows the steps.
